AVB stands for Annelies Van Baelen, a self-taught artist,

born in Belgium and living the life of a professional nomad. 

​

Though she's always had a keen interest in art, Annelies only really got into painting when she joined a local art studio in Shanghai. Here painting became a way to cope with the pressure of the Chinese work culture. Her art works evoked interest from the local public, where Annelies held two exhibitions. 

She continued painting after she moved to Paris, and the pandemic got her in the habit of life drawing. This is how Annelies expanded her art works to prints.
